Who we are

Modern Trade & Business Group ("MTBG", "we") runs this website at https://mtbg.biz and the MTBG member app. For this notice, MTBG is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

When you ask for an invitation on WhatsApp or by phone: your name, phone number, business and profession, and anything you choose to tell us.
When you become a member: your profile (name, business, profession, contact details, optional photo), meeting attendance and the referrals you give and receive in the member app.
When you browse this site: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for security and kept for no longer than 90 days. Your theme choice is stored only in your own browser.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits, pages viewed, device type and approximate location. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.

Why we use it

To arrange your visit and confirm your profession seat.
To run membership: meetings, attendance, the member directory and referrals.
To keep the website and app secure.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

The public member directory

Members choose whether their profile appears in the public directory on this website. You can turn it off at any time in the member app or by asking us.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run MTBG: our hosting provider, Cloudflare (which delivers the website), Google Analytics (website usage statistics), and our SMS provider to send sign-in codes for the member app. Referrals you pass in the app are visible to the members involved and to the MTBG core team.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. To do so, or to raise a grievance, message us on WhatsApp. We will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

How long we keep it

Guest enquiries: up to 12 months after your last contact. Member data: for as long as you are a member and up to 3 years after, unless the law requires otherwise.

We will update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.
